Founder’s Story

What started as a personal health journey back in 2014 quickly turned into something much bigger. I found CrossFit, fell in love with it, and before long, I wasn’t just showing up for the workouts-I was coaching and helping others chase their goals too. In 2017, I had the chance to take a big leap by taking over ownership of Deep Well Athletics. Since then, this gym has become more than just a place to work out-it’s a community built on strength, support, and showing up for each other. Deep Well has grown into something really special in the heart of Mooresville, and I’m so proud of the culture we’ve created. This journey has been about more than fitness-it’s been about people, growth, and building something that lasts.

He specializes in corrective exercise, helping members move better, reduce injury risk, and train with confidence. Ryan’s coaching style is intentional, detail-oriented, and centered on helping every athlete reach their full potential.

Stephanie Edwards

Deep Stretch Instructor/Nutrition Coach

Stephanie is a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach with over 10 years of experience helping others improve their health, performance, and overall well-being. Her journey into fitness and nutrition started from a personal desire to feel better, and after being diagnosed with Celiac disease, she developed a deep passion for understanding how to properly fuel and support the body.

In addition to nutrition coaching, Stephanie holds certifications in Personal Training, Yoga, Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, TRX, and recently earned her CrossFit Level 1. Her coaching style is thoughtful, encouraging, and focused on helping members build sustainable habits so they can feel and perform their best — both inside and outside the gym.

Our gym is outfitted with a 44ft Rogue Rig, Rogue Echo Bikes, Concept2 Rowers, Ski Ergs, Bike Ergs. You will also find a variety of Kettlebells, Dumbbells, Wall Balls, and Plyometric boxes. We are committed to having the tools and equipment needed to make the best workout experience for our members.

Premium Equipment – Our gym is outfitted with top tier equipment from Rogue, Concept2, Rep Fitness, and Fringe Sport to support each of our workout programs.

Recovery & Mobility Tools – You’ll find foam rollers, resistance bands, Crossover Symmetry, and other unique tools to help you recover faster and prevent injury.

Organized and Clean – Our gym equipment is organized for easy access as well as kept clean and ready for use.

Deep Well Athletics is a 6,000sq ft facility with heat and air conditioning. You will find an open floor plan that also includes a kids room, lockers, and an in-house physical therapist office.

Retail Store – From recovery drinks to protein powder and pull up grips, you can get all your workout gear and recovery goods in house.

Member Perks – You’ll have access to free Wi-Fi, Lounge room, and Meal Prep Delivery.
